The consulting office at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, signs a contract with the main support company to inspect food and beverages in the Rumaila oil fields.

The Main Support Company for Contracting and General Trading has contracted to inspect and analyze meals and beverages provided to workers in the oil sector within the Rumaila oil fields.

This contract aims to ensure food safety and quality according to approved health standards and to provide a safe and healthy working environment for oil field workers. This will be achieved through precise laboratory analyses conducted by specialized scientific staff at the College of Agriculture.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture explained that this collaboration reflects the confidence of national companies in the university's capabilities and scientific expertise in food analysis and health control. He emphasized that the consulting firm seeks to expand its scientific and advisory services to include food security, the environment, and sustainable agriculture.

For their part, representatives of the Main Support Company expressed their appreciation for the high level of competence and professionalism demonstrated by the College of Agriculture staff. They affirmed their commitment to continuing this joint cooperation, given its positive impact on raising food safety standards at oil work sites.
