His office provides technical and scientific supervision of the university's food processing laboratory, aiming to enhance production efficiency and ensure products meet required standards and quality specifications.
The office has formed a specialized team from the Food Science and Animal Production departments to provide on-site supervision and consultation for all stages of production at the laboratory, from receiving raw materials through manufacturing and heat treatment processes, to packaging and marketing.
The team's responsibilities also include collecting representative samples of food products and conducting rigorous microbiological and technical analyses in the College of Agriculture's laboratories to guarantee food safety and compliance with quality and nutritional standards.
The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, emphasized that this step is part of strengthening the integration between academic and practical aspects and activating the role of the consulting office in developing the production capacities of food establishments both within and outside the university. He noted that this collaboration contributes to providing safe, high-quality food products that reflect the college's academic standing.
