A joint collaboration between the Agricultural Consulting Office at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, and the Fresh Top outlet to develop the food products sector in Al-Zubair district...

In Basra and to advance the agricultural sector in both its plant and animal aspects, a supervision and consultancy contract was signed between the Agricultural Consulting Office (first party) and the "Fresh Top" marketing outlet, owned by a private sector company in Al-Zubair District (second party). The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Saleh Shaddad Al-Jurani, a member of the Basra Provincial Council; Professor Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen, representing the Dean's Assistant for Scientific Affairs; Mr. Mohsen Dashar Abdul-Hay, Director of the Office; and members of the Agricultural Consulting Office at the college.

This collaboration aims to provide high-quality food products and services with outstanding nutritional value to the local community in Al-Zubair District. This will be achieved through the supervision and guidance of a select group of professors and experts from the Agricultural Consulting Office, in accordance with the health and technical requirements for the production and presentation of food products, particularly animal products such as meat, poultry, fish, and others.

This project comes within the framework of strengthening the partnership between the University of Basra and the private sector, with the goal of raising the level of local products and making them competitive with imported products in terms of quality and nutritional value. It also aims to support the local economy and improve food safety standards.

It is worth noting that this is the fifth contract of its kind concluded by the Agricultural Consulting Office in the field of supervision and consultancy, following its success in [the following] Managing four other marketing outlets, including two private sector outlets and two marketing outlets under direct supervision from the office, one at the university site in Bab Al-Zubair and the other in Karma
