The Agricultural Consulting Office at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, signs a supervision and consulting contract with the private sector.

In line with its mission to serve the local community and enhance the quality of agricultural products offered in the markets, the Agricultural Consulting Office at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, signed a supervision and consultancy contract with a private sector outlet, represented by investor Mr. Karrar Kadhim Jassim, to oversee animal products at his marketing outlet in the Al-Mutaiha area of ​​Basra Governorate.

The contract was signed by Professor Dr. Mohsen Abdulhai Dashar, Director of the Agricultural Consulting Office, who confirmed that this is the sixth contract in a series of supervision and monitoring agreements implemented by the office, and the third with the same investor, within the framework of fruitful cooperation aimed at improving the quality of food products offered to consumers.

Dr. Dashar explained that the office works to provide the scientific and specialized expertise possessed by the college's professors in the fields of plant and animal production and food industries, which contributes to increasing the nutritional value of products, ensuring their quality and safety, and making them available to marketing outlets and local markets at competitive prices that meet consumer needs.

This collaboration underscores the role of the Agricultural Advisory Office in supporting the private sector and developing the level of food services and products in Basra Governorate, aligning with the university's vision of strengthening community partnerships and applying scientific knowledge in various fields.

In the same vein, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Head of the Agricultural Advisory Office, affirmed that these steps are consistent with the college's vision of enhancing partnerships with the private sector and applying academic knowledge in practical fields. He noted that the university continuously works to support initiatives that contribute to developing the food and agricultural sectors in the governorate and improving services provided to the community.
